OpenBSD 3.8 by Darrin Chandler [21 October 2005 10:11 MST]

Over the past few days reports have started trickling in that OpenBSD 3.8 is shipping, and at least one package has arrived. The theme for this release is “Hackers of the Lost RAID,” but it contains much more than that. Interface trunking and malloc improvements to name a couple of prominent additions. There's a decent interview at ONLamp.com with some of the developers.

I'm probably deep in the queue, but I'm hoping my order will ship some time soon. I'm very interested to try 3.8 on some of the newly supported hardware, and also the new ipsecctl tool (which should simplify IPSec setup and admin considerably).
